Support for Schools
Local authorities should co-ordinate a multi-agency
approach to providing support to schools for anti-bullying
work. Support for anti-bullying work should extend
beyond the remit of behaviour and attendance to other
services within the local authority such as the police and
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
There is also support available for schools for anti-bullying
work through the voluntary sector. The Anti-bullying
Alliance has over 80 members - the majority of whom work
with schools to prevent and respond to bullying.
