It's vital that schools involve pupils in preventing and responding to bullying.  This can be done in lots of different ways, some of which are listed below:

 

  • pupil surveys to assess the extent of bullying and effectiveness of existing strategies
  • pupil led anti-bullying groups
  • peer support and buddying
  • pupil led anti-bullying conferences
  • pupil led anti-bullying assemblies
  • pupil led anti-bullying competitions
  • pupil led anti-bullying festivals
  • pupil managed 'safe zones' in school
