Pupil participation
It's vital that schools involve pupils in preventing and
responding to bullying. This can be done in lots of different
ways, some of which are listed below:
- pupil surveys to assess the extent of bullying and
effectiveness of existing strategies
- pupil led anti-bullying groups
- peer support and buddying
- pupil led anti-bullying conferences
- pupil led anti-bullying assemblies
- pupil led anti-bullying competitions
- pupil led anti-bullying festivals
- pupil managed 'safe zones' in school
