Peer Support

Resources

If you have a case study or resources for this section that you would like to share with other local authorities please visit the case studies page of the toolkit.

Peer mentoring programmes are becoming increasingly popular in many primary and secondary schools.  This method directly involves children and young people in supporting an environment where all children feel safe and feel they have someone they can talk to.

ABA members have been involved in a number of peer support projects. For example:

NSPCC CHIPS programme

Beatbullying Cybermentors

Mentoring and Befriending Foundation
