Local authorities must ensure that there are good levels of support for parents and carers whose children are targets of bullying, who perpetuate bullying, or who witness bullying.

This should include:

  • Advice for parents and careres: develop literature and online information
  • Promotion of advice help lines, national and local
  • Provide, or provide access to, support services for parents whose children are targets or perpetuators of bullying
  • Review complaints procedures and ensure these are publicised to all

There are a number of national agencies that can provide advice to parents and carers. ABA member Parentline Plus has launched a specific website for concerns about bullying.  Visit: http://www.besomeonetotell.org.uk/
