Involving Parents and Carers
Local authorities should consult parents and
carers as part of the process for developing and reviewing the
anti-bullying strategy. They should also actively promote the
anti-bullying strategy, policy and guidance with them.
Here are some possible strategies for
achieving this:
- Consult with school parent governors
- Consult through locality / neighbourhood councils
- Establish parents anti-bullying group(s)
- Use anonymous surveys, including online surveys
- Organise anti-bullying events for parents
