Local authority toolkit
This toolkit is designed to assist
local authorities with embedding anti-bullying
work in schools and the wider community.
It includes key information on all
aspects of anti-bullying work and is illustrated thoughout
with case studies of best practice from local
authorities. Our sections on law, policy
and guidance will give you an overview for how
anti-bullying practice is constantly evolving. You'll also
find practical examples of how to create an
anti-bullying strategy, action plans for
schools and the wider community, plus
information on where to get further
support.

About us
The Anti-Bullying Alliance
(ABA) was founded in 2002 by NCB and the National Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). We are an independent body
made up of over 100 organisations.
We work together to lead the way in reducing bullying and
creating safe environments in which children and young people can
live, grow, play and learn free from bullying, violence and
aggression.
The ABA encourages local authorities and youth providers
involved in the prevention of bullying to apply for membership
of the ABA. To learn more
about membership visit the main Anti-Bullying Alliance
website.
The ABA has also launched the School and College
network. For more information visit the
ABA website.
